After living in New York City this long, it was great to finally have an opportunity to play a hometown show for all our friends and family in Vermont. Nectar’s was kind of an interesting venue for our music, just because they typically book a lot of jam bands, but I think it worked out pretty well.
A lot of positives for this show - we had a great turnout, we got to play the better part of two hours, and no one asked us to turn down. They even let in a bunch of people who weren’t 21, which was very cool. It was great to have the windows and doors open on Main Street too, so that our music was floating out into downtown Burlington on such a beautiful summer night.
We threw a couple covers in for good measure, and I think they went over well. We were psyched to get such a long setlist, and I think we did a pretty good job of keeping the energy up throughout, even though we were all sweating like beasts. Extra bonus points go to anyone who was actually willing to touch me after the show. Ick.
Overall, a very good show. Hopefully we’ll get the chance to play Burlington again sometime in the future. Many thanks to everyone who made it out. You guys are awesome.
Damn - I’ve been waiting for you guys to come to VT for two years now. . .and OF COURSE I miss it.
Joe = bad at promoting it seems.
Also it was 21+ and we weren’t sure if they were going to let the younger cousins in or not. They ended up being cool about it, but it would have been doubly lame if you came up to Burlington and got turned away. Don’t worry, we’ll make it up there again some time!

Hell yes,
Great show and awesome picture of a beautiful guitar. oh, and the guy behind it is pretty good too.
