Upcoming album, upcoming show!

Hi everybody, sorry for the lack of updates lately – we’ve been hard at work on the new album, and also getting ready for our next show.  There are some big things in the works.

First things first – the album.  It’s coming along quite nicely, but it’s taking awhile to get everything finished with all our busy schedules.  Here’s a snippet of a song from the new album, called Starfall.  This one has been kicking around for quite some time, so you’ve probably already heard live if you’ve been to one of our shows in the last year or so.

We can’t wait until the recording is finished and we can share it with everyone.  We’ve done a bit of growing since God’s Eye, and we definitely want to rock your iPods as much as we rock your faces when you come to our shows.

Right.  Next, we have a show coming up in about a month.  This one is kind of a big deal, because it will be our debut as a five-piece.  That’s right, we have a second guitarist!  It’s not entirely official yet, but his name is Andrew and he’s totally awesome, and we’re hoping that if our first show together feels good for all five of us, that he will become an official permanent fixture in Astronaut Down.  It’s really very exciting.  So make sure you come to see us 8/1 at Trash Bar!  We go on at 10, but it’s one of those dealies where there’s open bar from 8-9, so definitely make sure you come out early.
